The invention relates to a device for closing an opening, in particular a building opening, with two plates which are each rotatable in a corner region about an axis of rotation perpendicular to the plane of the plate.
Devices of this type are known in the art e.g. from AT 003 387 U1 and AT 413 576 B known and are often referred to as turntable doors. The most two plates of a turntable door are pivoted to open and close their normal to the plate planes axes. The two plates can be motion-coupled by a variety of mechanisms. In the AT 003 387 U1, the two plates are connected to each other, for example via at least one coupling rod, wherein the coupling rod is articulated on both plates to be joined. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a generic device in which said disadvantage of the prior art is eliminated. In particular, an improved sealing of the device is to be achieved. For coupling the plates, which are preferably square, a universal joint or multi-axis joint can be used.
